Hey I'm Tay, the homebody of all homebodies.
Somewhere between my Southern Californian roots and Pacific Northwest upbringing, I was forged into a passionate artist and lover of the cozy things in life! Professionally, I have been in the photography game for almost 5 years but made it a hobby back in 2013 when my son was born. At the time, our family wasn't in the position to invest in family or milestone portrait sessions so I decided to take it upon myself to learn to document my son's upbringing with my Canon T3i. For my 20th birthday, I asked family members for the disk adobe software so I could learn the ins and outs of Lightroom & Photoshop. Over the years, I spent countless hours photographing my son and fell in love with the craft. I fell in love with documenting the little things we would do: an evening walk, arts and crafts or playing at the park. My family has been supportive every step of the way and saw my true potential as an artist from the very beginning. I'll always be thankful for their unwavering support.
At my core, I am a reflection of the nostalgic love that I was given by my Great Grandmother, Doris Mae. Doris was a passionate creator who loved Olives as snacks (also, in her gin martinis) and her birth flower is the timeless September Aster. O&A is a tribute to the unconditional nostalgic love she gave me as a young girl. Due to this gift of love, I see her in everything I create and everywhere I go. When I am not documenting love stories or filling my head with ungodly amounts of educational text, you can find me in my kitchen baking fresh sourdough, camping with my boys, riding through the woods on my KLX, crocheting baby hats while listening to a good audiobook or cozy while snuggling with my soul cat, Josephine.
